T2.2. Marine habitats-HR3000003 Vrsar islands-National habitat classification (CRO)
Abstract
T2.2. activity “Threats to coastal and marine biodiversity-Step by step towards an ecosystem-based approach” is tested in marine NATURA 2000 site HR 3000003 Vrsar’s island. The site includes the marine area on the west coast of Istria. Marine NATURA 2000 site HR3000003 Vrsar’s islands is located inside of the protected coastal area, which is, according to Physical Planning Act, 1000 m in the continental belt and 300 m sea belt measured from the coastline.
According to National habitat classification (NHC-CROATIA), 13 habitats types were recorded:
- G.3.1.1.4.-Association with Zostera noltii in euryhaline and eurythermal environment
-G.3.2.-Biocenosis of infralittoral detritus seabeds
- G.3.2.-Infralittoral fine sands with more or less muds
- G.3.2.2.1.-Association with Cymodocea nodosa
-G.3.2.3.-Biocenosis of muddy sands of shelltered coast
-G.3.2.3.4.-Ass. with Cymodocea nodosa
- G.3.2.3.5.-Association with Zostera noltii
-G.3.4.-Infralittoral rocks and gravels
-G.3.4.1.-Infralittoral gravels
-G.3.6.1.-Biocenosis of infralittoral algae
- G.3.8.1.1.-Infralittoral communities of the bottom of tourist beaches and healing mudds
