(2014). The model combines three generic modules, respectively accounting for: (i) individual growth and dynamics of the farmed population; (ii) organic particle tracking and deposition; (iii) benthic degradation (early diagenesis). The present work made use of a model version developed in Brigolin et al. 2017, in which the final output considered is the area (m2) in which the average organic carbon flux along the farming cycle (ΦC) > 0.1 g C m−2 d−1.
