Abstract
The Beach average height (2019), has been processed by AGSS-RER. The analysis concern the entire Emilia-Romagna coastline between the Po di Goro river mouth and Cattolica (the Tavollo river mouth).
The classification consider the emerged beach as the sector free from permanent structures, and so the space free for the waves damping.
The parameter calculation has been fulfilled along transepts perpendicular to the shoreline and 10 m spaced. After the extraction of the height of 1 m spaced points along the transect, the average height has been calculated for each one.
The heigts are derived from 2019 DTM model (Lidar dataset acquired from Autorità di Bacino Distrettuale del Fiume Po). Then the classes of average height are projected on the shoreline.
The layer is expressed in 4 height classes, the other categories in the legend indicate zones where the beach is absent: "Artificial" class is characterized by the presence of harbour/river mouth areas, "Protected" by the influence of defence structures against the beach erosion.
